SV100 Scott Volumeter for Powder Bulk Density Testing
The PT-SV100 Scott Volumeter is used to determine the bulk density of powders according to:
- USP <616> Bulk Density and Tapped Density of Powders
- EP <2.9.34.1> Determination of Apparent Density
- ISO 3923-2 Metallic Powders
- ASTM 32990 and ASTM B329-14 Apparent Density of Metal Powders and Compounds
Operating Principle
The ST-SV100 is very easy to use. The priciple consists of the measurement of a mass of a certain quantity of powder which fills a container of a known volume. The powder is poured through a series of inclined glass baffles filling a stainless steel cup.The ratio between the mass and the volume represents the apparent density.
Features
- Instrument comes ready to use, only an analytical balance is needed to complete the test
- Easy to use, assemble and operate
- Solid steel design including vibration free baseplate
- Integrated spirit gauge to check levelness of the instrument
