The RMG - Rapid Mixer Granulator is an ideal mixer widely used in pharmaceutical, chemicals and food industry for wet granulation, dry mixing, wax granulation along with aqueous and solvent granulation. The RMG is so designed to achieve efficient, safe and hygienic mixing by reducing processing time, homogeneous mixing, even distribution of binder, wetting, nucleation and granule size growth with sampling provision for in-process analysis and proven safety during processing, compliant to cGMP standards. Mobile unit on wheels to be easily moved when not in use.

Control System:

Mixing process is controlled through HMI + PLC with GAMP compliance. Operating Panel: Located near the machine for ease of operation comprises of HMI, control ON_OFF, Emergency and Hooter. Power Panel: All the main Circuit like Switch gears, Relays, MCBs etc. will be contained in a S.S. Panel box and located on stand. The following functions will be operated through the PLC.

  • Process on/off
  • Impeller on/off
  • Chopper on/off
  • Discharge open/close
  • Different safety alarms & safety interlock
  • Recipe parameters, Batch code, Operator code, Product code, Batch parameters, Process parameters like Impeller speed, Process time etc.

Pneumatic System: The machine is supplied with duly required pneumatic systems of FESTO/ JANATICS

The customer has to ensure, supply of oil free compressed air, also free from any other possible impurity, which may contaminate the product. Air filter and Air water separator are also provided with the machine.

Pressure regulator is provided to regulate the desired air pressure. The system is suitable to accept an Input air pressure of 7kg/cm2 to be terminated at ½" “BSP" terminal. Air lubricator is provided to lubricate solenoid valves and pneumatic cylinders is incorporated in the system. Pressure Switch: A Pressure Switch is incorporated in the Pneumatic circuit to ensure that unless required minimum air pressure is available in the system, the machine cannot be started. And once the machine starts and if the pressure drops below pre-set the value the machine will stop immediately. In case the Flame Proof Machine the pressure Switch is fitted in main panel. Electric and pneumatic panel not required separately it will be accommodated in the frame or at the utility area.

Description

Stand

MS square pipe frame is provided with a process bowl mounting arrangement. The drive assembly is mounted within the frame with SS 304 cladding.

Mixing bowl

Consist of flat bottom cylindrical bowl welded with an inverted truncated cone at the top with an openable top lid; having gross capacity 15L. (other sizes available) The bowl will be provided with a central impeller blade side entry discharge plug and specially mounted knife edge chopper assembly. Precise manufacturing of bowl eliminates dead spots during mixing. The Mixing Bowl shall be jacketed with SS 304 jacket suitable for working pressure of 3 kgs/cm² for Hot/cold water circulation. Top Lid

Bowl lid is provided with charging, vent & ‘D’ type gasket for proper sealing. Bowl lid is provided with manually lifting arrangement for opening it. Thus, giving access to the bowl for inspection of the contents and cleaning. ‘J’ type quick openable clamps are provided for locking the lid

Impeller Assembly

The Specially designed “Z” type impeller with 3 blade effects tangential movement of the material and reduces material accumulation on bowl wall thus forms homogenous granules. The impeller inching facility is provided. Air purged sealing system. Motor: 3HP, 1440RPM Non FLP with Gearbox.

Chopper Assembly

The Knife edge chopper blade assembly with multiple blades having high rotary speed is in a lateral plane to de- lump and homogenized mixing of the binder. Motor: 1HP, 2880RPM.

Discharge Port Assembly

Pneumatically operated plug type discharge is mounted onthe cylindrical wall at the bottom of process bowl for quick and complete discharge of wet granules. The discharge plug  is flush with a cylindrical portion of the bowl in a closed condition with tight tolerances to minimized material build up.
